4th-grade families are invited to attend a meeting to learn about Rainier Scholars. Rainier Scholars is a long-term program that provides students of color with academic enrichment and college preparation.
Rainier Scholars is a privately funded, non-profit organization. Students will receive an additional 1,000 hours of academic coursework that will prepare them to work at advanced levels—at least one grade level above their current grade—before they start middle school.
Rainier Scholars provides academic counseling, access to internships, career and leadership workshops, college advising, and so much more. There is no cost to apply to Rainier Scholars. If your student is accepted into Rainier Scholars, the only cost for your child’s participation is a transportation fee. This fee will depend on your family’s income and size.
Please see the Family Information Meeting schedule below (both in-person and Zoom webinar options are available). Any family with a 4th-grade student of color is invited to apply. Families must attend an information meeting to receive an application. You do not need to register for the in-person meetings.
Students can only apply while they are in 4th grade.
