Tamasha Emedi-Frye has spent her entire professional career in Highline Public Schools. Starting as a teacher at Bow Lake Elementary, spending time at Hazel Valley Elementary as an assistant principal. and now serving as principal at Glacier Middle School. Along the way, she has helped lead districtwide conversations around belonging, leadership and school culture.
In this episode of The Promise Podcast, Tamasha joins Superintendent Dr. Ivan Duran onsite at Glacier Middle School to talk about leadership, community and what it means to choose each other during difficult moments.
Tamasha reflects on her journey through Highline and how the Highline Promise continues to guide her work as a leader. She also shares how Glacier staff created schoolwide systems to celebrate students consistently and strengthen a sense of belonging across the building.
